Is Coaching for You?

In my experience, people come to coaching for a variety of reasons, but they have one thing in common: They feel concerned about or dissatisfied with “the way things are.” They have a different vision for their lives than what they are currently living, and they want to move towards that vision with purpose and clarity. For example,

  • You have a specific result you want to achieve, and you haven’t been able to start or to maintain your pathway towards achieving it. For example, I have worked successfully with clients who have wanted to lose weight, get a new job or career, and break a behavioral addiction, to name just a few.
  • You’ve had, or are foreseeing, a change in your circumstances, and you would like to find your way through and beyond it in a proactive, rather than reactive, way. Examples could be the end of a relationship, widowhood, retirement, unemployment, a promotion, or extended illness.
  • You simply know there could be “more” or “better” for you in your life, but you don’t yet know what that is and/or how to realize it. You might feel discontented, stuck, stymied, plateaued, frustrated, and you would like help getting out of that and into the life that’s calling out to you.
  • You believe that we have all been put here for a purpose, and you would like to discover what yours is and how to live it out.
  • You know your purpose, your life is “working,” and you want insight and support to play at a bigger or higher level of challenge, mastery, and impact.

If you see yourself in any of these descriptions, then yes, coaching is for you!
